Finished the short Spanish course muy bien! I even have a certificate; although I will need a lot more practice before speaking anything comprehensible to a native spanish speaker! My colleagues muy muy simpatico and I am very glad I took the course.
A few of us wandered to the other fantastic Mercato Santa Cristina after class and although smaller than Sant de Josep it had a somewhat intimate feeling.
All vendors spectacular and wondrous! I did see what I think is thus far the greatest display of various tomatoes I have seen anywhere (muchas gracias to my colleague for pointing this out ? ) and I will dedicate the photo to my dear friend Carol whom I consider the Queen of all tomatoes heirloom and otherwise. I actually love this photo so much I am going to look into having it printed and framed.
It has been a few great days in Barcelona after some heavy rains. No complaints amigos as I know we have had a lot of snow depending on where you are in the prairies of Canada.
On a tangent, a while back I was on a tour of the Manitoba Legislative building. If you live there it is a must see and if ever visiting I highly recommend it. Heartland.diyobo.com check the dates as it is seasonal. If ever interested in Masonic temples this is definitely a must see.
Take the tour given by Dr. Albo; he is the subject expert and also gives a very interesting and fun tour. Hermès…well on the Manitoba legislature he stands proud but I must check if this is also Hermes near Placa Catalunya in Barcelona…
On the way back to Placa Catalunya we wandered by The Cathedral of the Holy Cross. It is wonderful and I find although I have seen similar era cathedrals across European cities each one of them exhibits wonder and imbibes fascination as they were all such a grand feat to design and construct given the day…
As I was walking from the cathedral back to Placa Catalunya as always I am looking to the little streets on each side and I noticed something down a narrow street and did a quick right turn to see what it was. This statue of a metal face was great. A three dimensional two dimensional structure …its great…just move around it….Hasta luego!
